For over 30 years, Consumer Direct Care Network has supported people with disabilities who rely on Medicaid-funded managed long-term services and supports so they may stay in their homes and communities. In Washington state, Consumer Direct Care Network Washington (CDWA) is the Consumer Directed Employer (CDE) for Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS).
As the CDE, CDWA provides Individual Providers (IP) one place for all administrative needs. The Client decides who helps with their care and how they want their care provided.
- Clients select, train, and schedule their IPs.
- CDWA handles the employment tasks like payroll and administrative duties.
CDWA supports independence:
- Clients stay in their homes and communities.
- Clients choose their own IPs – potentially even their friends or family members.
- Clients are in control.
Our job is to help make the home care journey easy.
