Consumer Direct Care Network Washington

Consumer Direct Care Network Washington (CDWA) is the Consumer Directed Employer (CDE) for Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). As the CDE, CDWA employs the thousands of dedicated Individual Providers (IP) who provide in-home personal care and respite services.

CDWA is a partnership between Consumer Direct Holdings, Inc. and the Home Care Workers Purpose Trust. The Trust promotes good working conditions and economic security for workers, as well as worker voice and influence in the home care industry.

SEIU 775

For the CDE program in the state of Washington, Individual Providers are represented by SEIU 775. Membership in the union is not a condition of employment, and a caregiver’s election or non-election to join the union will not affect their employment status with CDWA.
